It has made tremendous progress since its inception in 1996 and has recorded a thumping sales turnover of Rs 90 crore plus with an annual growth rate of 30% plus. MULTICAB CORPORATION is a dealer of Polycab cables for reputed organizations like GTL, SITSON and GODREJ


THE CHALLENGES

Following were the challenges being faced by MULTICAB CORPORATION:-

  1. DOS based software was being used by them due to which there were concerns regarding support for the software, it’s compatibility with the latest technology and operating system support for it.
     
  2. Managing stock was one of the biggest problems that the company faced.
     
  3. Excise processing had to be done manually as it was not provided by the software being used.
     
  4. The manual work took up a considerable amount of organizational time & resources.
     
  5. Data loss and data corruption were serious threats to important organizational records.
     
  6. Recording bank transactions in the ledger book used to be a problem.
     
  7. Connectivity between various terminals was there but it was not up to the organizational standards.

THE RESULT

  1. Stock management was no longer a problem after the implementation of TRADEANNEXTM.
     
  2. With the implementation of TRADEANNEXTM excise processing became much faster and easier.
     
  3. Better connectivity was established between users.
     
  4. Business support tools like MIS reports, business support charts etc proved to be of great help in the decision making process.
     
  5. The problem of data loss and corruption were rectified. Also the security of the data became much better than before.
     
  6. It became easier to handle and record data entries.
